The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is an international community where Member organizations, a full-time staff, and the public work together to develop Web standards. Led by Web inventor and Director Tim Berners-Lee and CEO Jeffrey Jaffe, W3C's mission is to lead the Web to its full potential. Contact W3C for more information.
W3C's workshops and seminars are an important part of its calendar as they are organized to promote early participation (from members and the public) in the development of W3C activities. The workshops are usually intended to bring together specialists, experts and other interested parties to exchange ideas on technology or technical policies, or to address concerns and observations of interest to W3C members in the form of awareness lectures or panel discussions
